Long Itchington FC

Long Itchington FC

Long Itchington FC, nestled in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside and making its mark on grassroots football! From humble beginnings in a tiny village tucked away somewhere between Leamington Spa and Southam, Long Itchington FC has built a large community of footballers, supporters and family at Green End playing field. The club has a storied history prior to 2015 when it ultimately faced the very real prospect of dissolving, current Chairman Oscar Rose stepped in to lift the club from a single team of eight players to what it has become today. The club has grown and succeeded in equal measure, now fielding five teams, made up of three men’s and two women’s teams. Long Itchington FC is a club where no dream is too great, no ambition out of reach and goals (top bins and otherwise) are becoming a reality. We have seen such large growth, progress and achievement that our men’s first team achieved ‘the treble’ in their last season, winning the league and capturing two trophies. The ladies first team achieved a top four finish fresh off the back of two promotions in three seasons. But the work doesn’t end here, we want more! The ladies team has recently joined in partnership with Kenilworth Sporting FC to maximise the opportunities, support and capabilities of the squad to reach its goal of playing in Tier 4 of the women’s pyramid. The dreams are becoming reality, the progress we have seen is exponential and only continuing to exceed all expectations. The future of this club is bright, and we are all looking forward to what’s in store, achieving more and of course, goals galore!
